Giant Hypermarket at Suntec City has received the GreenMark Gold Plus award by the Building and Construction Authority for its energy-efficient store design and green features. It is the first hypermarket in Singapore to receive the award.
For our dedication toward service excellence, Giant has achieved the Service Staff & Service Excellence Award.
The Excellent Service Award (also known as EXSA) is a national award that recognises individuals who have delivered outstanding service. It seeks to develop service models for staff to emulate, create service champions, professionalise services and raise the prestige of a career in services.
EXSA is managed by seven industry-leading associations – the Association of Singapore Attractions, the Land Transport Authority, the Public Service Division, the Singapore Hotel Association, the Singapore Retailers Association, the Restaurant Association of Singapore and the Association of Banks in Singapore. EXSA is supported by SPRING Singapore.
The award is open to all levels of staff within an organisation, with nominees needing to meet a set criteria in order to be shortlisted. There are 3 categories, namely the Silver, Gold and Star Award categories.
In 2014, Giant had two two winners in the Silver category. One of our staff was featured as finalist for the SRA Young Executive of the Year Award
