On the 17th November 2016, 105 Giant Staff receive the Excellence Service Award (EXSA), which is a national award that recognises individuals who have delivered quality service. We have been awarded with 91 Sliver, 13 Gold and 1 Star. This is truly spectacular accomplishment as Giant achieved the most awards in the Dairy Farm Singapore Group.
All 105 award winners deserve to celebrate this moment especially when the level for service has increased over the years. Apart from keeping the store stocked with supplies, working round the clock to drive sales and making sure customers are happy, they also had to dedicated their time to attend training sessions that will help them strive for service excellence!
Giant is grateful for all the effort that has been put in by our award winners to create an uplift in our service. In appreciation of their dedication and hard work, a post-award celebration held to celebrate the achievement of our excellent service award winners 2016. “I sincerely like to thank my customers for their support and appreciating my services to them since the 1st day I joined Giant. I feel very happy. My effort and commitment are recognized by the company and my customers. I will share and celebrate this happiness with my family, also will celebrate this winning award with my best colleague Doris. It is such a coincident that Doris birthday falls on the same day that I receive this award. I feel happy with this double celebration..
I think everyone must do their part. I honestly believe that service must from the heart. If we serve with sincerity, our customer will be touched.”
On the 11th of November 2016, Giant was invited to APSN Tanglin School for a Graduation & Prize Giving Ceremony. APSN stands for Association for Persons with Special Needs. Apart of their graduating from ASPN, students were offered an intership to work at Giant Express as Trainee Sales Assistant! We would like to take this opportunity to welcome our new interns to the Giant family!
The Best Operator Award recognises our Managers/Executives who have consistently demonstrated outstanding leadership and delivered promising financial results in managing a store or area.
The Best Service Award aims to inspire outstanding service to our customers by distinguishing individuals who have excelled in customer service. It seeks to develop service models for staff to emulate and to create service champions. Every month, award recipients will be presented with $50 Dairy Farm vouchers. Monthly winners are entitled to participate for the yearly Super Star Award.
The Young Executive of the Year awards outstanding and dynamic executives, aged 30 or below, who are managing three or more subordinates. The contenders are judged on their qualities, abilities, contributions and achievements to the company and the retail industry in Singapore
