Food From the Heart
As part of our corporate social responsibility to the community, we have teamed up with Food from the Heart during the festive seasons to allow shoppers to contribute non-perishable groceries and general items to the less fortunate.
The first of the collaboration started with Food from the Heart at Giant Tampines during the Christmas season in 2015 and the response was overwhelming even if it was only a weekend collection. Recognising that Chinese New Year is an important festival in Singapore, this charity collection drive expanded to another hypermarket located in the West, Giant IMM. Shoppers could make their contributions at Giant Tampines and Giant IMM every day. All gifts contributed went to their beneficiaries.
Once again, we partnered with them during Christmas 2016 and Chinese New Year 2017 and have extended the network of collection points to include neighborhood heartland stores.
